With all skin-care products, it is necessary to protect the ingredients from exposure to the air, light, and your fingers tips. Zen de Jour has spent many hours of research and testing of each of their packaging containers on a 5 criteria level to ensure the safety and stability of each and every bottle used by Zen de Jour. This testing has taken over 5 years but we are very happy with the results.
5 major criteria we used to select the Zen de Jour packaging.
1. Sustainability – can the packaging be sustainability produced and be recycled at the end of use
2. Protect the product from harmful bacteria and mold
3. Protect the ingredients from air and light
4. Dispense the correct amount of product for each use and that you get 100% of the product from the container
5. Packaging must look and feel good.
Zen de Jour uses only pump or airless containers/tubes. The containers protect the important ingredients from light, air and cross contamination from your fingers so that your skin reaps the rewards and is not destroyed by the environment the product is stored and used in. The added benefit of using pump or airless containers/tubes is that we do not have to use high levels of preservatives that would be required if the product is in a normal twist top jar.
Also, when it comes to packaging for Zen de Jour skin care, you will notice that the products do not come in individual boxes. The reason for this is because I would rather place them in a cosmetic bag which you will use and enjoy over and over again unlike a cardboard box which is almost always discarded immediately after your receiving your products.
