Aging Gene Discovered and how to stop them.

Some people age faster than others and Scientists have been looking for the aging gene for many years. Molecular biologists have observed that people’s cells often age at different rates, leading them to make a distinction between chronological and biological age. The search for the aging gene was to understand the reasons between the chronological and biological age. We all know that environmental factors such as smoking, stress and regular exercise all influence the rate at which our cells age but now for the first time, researchers have found a genetic link to cellular aging. There is a one specific gene that was recently discovered by anti-aging researchers at Kings College London that controls most of your physical signs of aging? The aging gene is TERC, which is likely only one of several genes that influence telomere length. All chromosomes have protective caps at either end called telomeres. Each time a cell replicates itself (as it does before it dies), the telomeres shorten, like plastic tips fraying on the end of shoelaces. Shortened telomeres have been linked to a host of age-related illnesses such as heart disease and certain cancer. The longer your telomeres are, the slower you age!

Since we are born with these genes, the question is there anything we do help them to stay healthy longer thus reducing the aging process. The answer is YES you can slow the effects of The Aging Gene by these two vital nutrients, anthocyanins and resveratrol

Extensive research confirms that the most powerful antioxidant is a class of polyphenols known as anthocyanins. These nutrients create the deep red, blue, and purple pigments found in plants such as blueberries, elderberries, blackberries, and açaí. Berry anthocyanins strongly combat oxidative stress that can give protection from disease such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), cancer, and allergic disorders. Eating these powerful anti-oxidants scientists are suggesting will help with the keeping the Aging Gene healthy.

Where as Resveratrol is a stilbenoid, which is a type of natural phenol and phytolexin that is found in in the skins of grapes blueberries, raspberries and mulberries. Resveratrol natures response to injury or when a plant is attacked by pathogens such as bacteria and fungi.

Anthocyanians and Resveratrol can be a hero ingredient in your skincare products. But I love giving my clients a high anti-oxidants mask in spring and summer made from fresh Berries so they can get the direct benefits from Anthocyanins and Resveratrol This mask is a perfect to stop the Aging Gene and help your skin to glow.
